Today we will be working with Simon Melville on Newtown Common to the east of the B4640. SSE cut some sallow during recent work on Newtown Common, and we’ll be cutting it into smaller pieces, dragging it off a boggy area and having a bonfire, weather permitting. Wellies are recommended as the ground will be very wet.
Parking arrangements – coming along the B4640 from the Swan Inn roundabout, after about three quarters of a mile there’s a small post box on the right, and slightly further on there are a pair of white posts on the left. Turn left between the posts and drive until you come to a fork in the road, then turn left and park on the grass.
