Today will be our final task of the year for Simon Melville on Newtown Common, working in the same area as we did 3 weeks ago. We’ll continue to clear and process sallow that SSE cut as part of their work on the Common. Weather permitting, there will be a bonfire. As the ground will be very boggy, wellies are recommended.
Directions – coming along the B4640 from the Swan Inn roundabout, after about three-quarters of a mile there’s a small post box on the right, and shortly afterwards, a pair of white posts on the left. Turn left between the posts and carry on till the road divides in 3, take the left fork and park on the grass on the left.
