Inkpen Common
Today we will be returning to Inkpen Common to help BBOWT with management of the common. We’ll be cutting scrub in an area of the reserve known as the mire. Wellies are recommended as it will be wet underfoot. After we’ve left the site the cut stumps will be treated with glyphosate to prevent regrowth.
Approaching Inkpen, approximately 6 miles to the south west of Newbury, the Common lies off Rooksnest Lane. The postcode is RG17 9QT. Park in the area of the lay-by by the post box at the main entrance at the junction of Rooksnest Lane and Heads Lane.
