Today we will be helping Simon Melville to construct a dam in a boggy area of Newtown Common. This is to increase the amount of water to provide suitable growing conditions for species of Sphagnum moss. Parking will be on Newtown Common, so turn into Adbury Holt, drive past the triangular area and continue along Adbury Holt until you come to a grass track on the left hand side of the road. Follow the track that soon bends to the right, drive under the power lines and park on the Common, What3words:///month.invisible.tooth. We will meet Simon Melvillle at this point.
